Mehana’s At It Again
Corinne and I, ( Gregg was asleep because he is working nights) switched the futon I had in Mehana’s room into the Hall closet. The closet is very big and houses nothing but toys and books. Corinne and Camden actually slept in there last night. Now they are fighting who gets to play in there. But anyway, while we were busy doing that and most of the toys were in the hallway waiting to be put away, Mehana decided to do what she does best….Get into trouble!!!!!!

School House Rock
Hi sorry for the long silence. Camden is doing very well now. He is an old pro with the nasal flushings. He might still have to go to OR to get it sucked out, but it won’t be as bad if he didn’t do it all all. Corinne was finally in her play on Friday. Thank Goodness it is over. 4 weeks of practice, 4 days a week, 3 hours a day can get on your nerves!!! Well anyway, The play was School House Rock and they actually did a great job. We have it on video , but were not permitted to take flash photography during the performance
. The pictures we have are from after the play when all the kids were on a sugar fix after the cast party. They were getting in to the props. Camden even got into the action.( I worry about him sometimes, he is a little ” out there”, then again so are our other 2 children) :) This upcoming week we don’t have a lot going on!!! We are very happy about that, we need a break!!!

Camden update
Hi I don’t have any pictures. Camden came home from the hospital today. His surgery went well. We had a few surprises when he woke up. He was too relaxed when waking up from the anesthesia that a nurse had to hold his airway open for like an hour before he could breathe normally. Then when we got up to the room, he had some sort of reaction type thing to we don’t know what. He turned all red and blotchy. It went away as fast as it came though, puzzling all of us. Then we had to what they call Irrigating the nasal passages!! You have to take a mixture of saline and antibiotic and put two bulb syringes for each nostril and let it run out his mouth!! He is so not willing to do that. They said if he doesn’t do it he will have to go back to the OR and do it that way. He said he thinks he would rather do that!!!!( and that was before we even tried) Not the answer surgeon was looking for! So we attempted it last night and it was a disaster, the nurse accidentally pressed the bulb to hard sending the mixture up his nose so fast that he pulled away sending the rest to spray all over. He said it was like shoving knives up his nose. The this morning , another nurse attempted it. She actually was very good and got him to put only 3 small squeezes up. So he hasn’t had a full dosage yet, so we will see what tonight brings with our next attempt. Overall he is doing OK. He is still sleepy though, and he is miserable looking. He says he feels fine though. Thanks for all of your prayers, they were definitely heard!!!
Just Riding Bikes
We really haven’t been up to anything all that special. We have been spending some time outside, because the weather is beautiful!!! The kids have been enjoying the sunshine by riding their bikes. Camden is now officially a two wheel riding machine. He and Corinne love to ride their bikes. I remember LOVING my bike! So I am glad they get a chance to do it here. When we were in Hawaii I must admit that I wouldn’t let them out of the house all that often. Corinne has been spending a lot of her time at play practice (Mon-Thurs. 1-4:30) She will be in ” School House Rock ” on August 18th. Mehana has been making a ton of friends, she actually has 2 birthday parties this Sat. That should be fun!!! Camden is getting his surgery tomorrow. So ,make sure to keep him in your prayers!!! We are not sure of the time yet, I have to call later on today, But we will keep you posted! I will have lots of hospital pictures coming in the next few days. Hope you all are having nice summer weather, like we are, in your part of the world.

Mehana’s Day of Mischief
We had quite an interesting day yesterday. I am just getting rid of a nasty head-cold virus thingy, so needless to say I am a bit crabbier than normal. And Mehana being a lively 2 going on 3 year old took full advantage of that fact!! Besides our trip to the library, we really didn’t venture outside of the house. Mehana was what you could say BORED!!! She is the silent but mischievous type.
….if you don’t click the dryer shut all the way…. this happens…..

and when you leave the closet door open…. this happens… by the way 2 different shoes

And when you leave the bathroom door open… This happens….

Then the face when you tell her she has to get out….

The day was not complete until Mehana decided to take off all the sheets and pillows and throw them out of her bed during nap-time…. which she never did sleep!! You do not get the honor of seeing that joy, because by that time Mommy wasn’t in the picture taking mood if you know what I mean ;0)
Seattle Space Needle
The same weekend Brian was here we went to the Space Needle. All of us ventured up there. It was very high, but the sight was incredible. Gregg took the pictures because I held on to Mehana for dear life while hugging the wall!!! I did peek over the side a few times, but my spot wasn’t anywhere near the side. There was a guy who had his 2 yr old daughter on his shoulders while looking over and I thought I was going to have a heart-attack right then and there!!!! We finally made it to the ground (via elevator). We then went to the rides that apparently that they have there. It was a good time. I think Uncle Brian enjoyed being a big kid that day!! The water-fountain ended up being our reprieve for the day! It was like 95 degrees that day and a million people there for the “Bite of Seattle”, so needless to say it was a little warm. That water-fountain was the best I have ever seen, it was huge!!! We had a great time despite the heat!! Remember our house is ALWAYS open for visitors!!!

Gregg looking like about to Barf!!!

Long, Hot Day!!!!!( 5 minutes into the ride home!!)

RED SOX MANIA
We went to 2 of the Red Sox games this past weekend in Seattle. Gregg’s brother Brian came out for the weekend just to go to the games. We had a good time. Gregg, Brian, Gregg’s boss Chris(who is from Massachusetts), and I went to the Friday night game. They did really well that night. There was actually like 50% Red Sox fans! It was definitely a different experience than from being at Fenway, it was a very subdude kind of place. It was not like Rowdy Fenway. Well Chris decided by the end of the night that he wanted to act like he was at Fenway, which got us dirty looks!! Then Gregg, Brian, Corinne, Camden, and I went to the Saturday afternoon game, where they didn’t do all that well. We were baking in the sun that day. We had a heatwave just for the weekend, go figure. This was the first MLB game the kids ever went to. Too bad it was so hot!! But overall we had a great time!!!

Gregg, Brian, Chris
